SITE  COMMENTS VERDICT
www.teach-nology.com A "portal" site. Scroll down past the home page stuff, and past the advert (Don't try and turn it off- you can't!) that will come up at the bottom of your screen, and you get to a good selection of phonics activities links, from full length phonics lessons to 5-minute  activites. Also includes a useful model phonics lesson plan. If the link to the phonics area doesn't work, go from the main menu to lesson plans/language arts/phonics.
www.lessonplan central.com At the time of writing, only three phonics lessons are listed: teaching sh, ea sounds, and soft g. Good, but limited...
www.teacher.scholastic.com Good, in-depth material if you need to learn about teaching phonics, but more a "How to" site showcasing the work of one author (Wiley Blevins) than an off-the-shelf phonics lesson plan site.
www.proteacher.com This wasn't actually listed directly, but was one of the few useful links on another site. Lots of good stuff.
www.lessonplanet.com Looked hopeful, but I couldn't get past the "you must be a member" barriers. Looks as though there are lots of good phonics lesson plans there if you do.
www.actionfactor.com Nice straightforward site, all based on song: "Sing your way through phonics..."
www.gigglepotz.com A general curriculum site- phonics is bottom right: you need to scroll down a bit. I like the "Write and draw" ideas, but I found it thin on content.
www.tampareads.com A very good Canadian site. Lots of free grade 1 stuff; full membership needed for whole range. Comprehensive, structured, well presented.
www.canadaonline.com Phonics listing on this search engine page. Tampareads above was one of them. Definitely worth a browse.
I've got down to the third page on google now: there aren't many other sites that offer phonics lesson plans outside of  complete schemes that you have to purchase. Much of this material is very "young" in appearance: many older students, particularly those with dyslexia, still need very basic material like much of this, but presented in a more age-appropriate format. As well as color overlays, Crossbow Education specialises in just that sort of material, from card games to workbooks. Why not spend a few minutes having a look at the rest of our site? Click the link:  Dyslexia teaching resources. You'll find plenty of material that will complement the phonics lesson plans on this page.
