Before playing
bingo with this board, it should be used to go over the
different sounds covered. Players spend a few minutes recalling
(or building new) words from the rimes shown.

| In the RECAP game, students are given the opportunity to generate their own analogies from the rimes, again using a bingo game format. Thus throughout the sequence of activities children have HEARD, SEEN AND WRITTEN the phonemes, SYNTHESISED words (built them up) and ANALYSED them (identified chunks within the words). |
